OLPH Swing Dancing: Charleston SeriesList Item 4
We are excited to announce that swing dance lessons at Our Lady of Perpetual Help will continue through the month of August on Fridays at 7:00 p.m. with our Charleston Series!
Please join us as Ken Tyrolf, a swing dance enthusiast and instructor, spends the evening teaching the Charleston over a 4-week series. Adults ages 18 and over of all ages are welcome to attend. Whether you're a seasoned dancer or have never stepped onto the dance floor before, everyone is welcome! Singles and couples are both encouraged to sign up. Come meet new people and enjoy a lively evening of music, fun, and fellowship - free of charge, with no experience necessary.

The Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary
This year, the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary falls on Saturday, August 15. Because it falls on a Saturday, it is not a Holy Day of Obligation this year. The Solemnity will be celebrated with Mass at 9:00 a.m. on August 15.

This upcoming weekend is Welcome Home Sunday!
Have you invited someone yet?
A simple text message. A phone call. An invitation to sit with you at Mass. The Holy Spirit can and will work through the smallest acts of courage and kindness when we open our hearts to Him and take action! Ask the Lord for an increase in courage if you need it.
You do not need the perfect words. Simply let somone know they are welcome and that you would love for them to join you.
Join us at Our Lady of Perpetual Help as we celebrate Welcome Home Sunday! Shrimp Pasta will be served following the Saturday 4:00 PM Mass and the Sunday 12:30 PM and 5:00 PM Masses. Coffee & Donuts will follow the Sunday 7:30 AM, 9:00 AM, and 10:30 AM Masses.

Fr. Dussouy Medical Leave
Please keep Fr. Dussouy in your prayers as he is on medical leave through September 1.
Our Sacramental schedule will continue as normal. Daily Mass will be celebrated at 6:00 p.m., and all weekend Masses and Confessions will continue as usual.
Thank you for praying for Fr. Dussouy during his recovery.

OLPH Latin Class
Join us as parishioner Jolene Tyrolf, a life-long Latin enthusiast, teaches the Latin language through the prayers of the Church, the Vulgate Bible, and the Mass. Free of charge and no previous Latin experience is required.

Food Pantry Reopening
The Food Pantry has officially reopened and is now open on Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Our Food Pantry volunteers prepare and distribute groceries to those in need throughout our community.

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, located in Rivertown in Kenner, Louisiana since 1869, is dedicated to proclaiming and living the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the truths of the Roman Catholic Church. The parish offers numerous opportunities for prayer and faith development. Sunday and daily Masses are offered, along with special Masses and devotions to Our Lord, Our Lady and the saints. There is a Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Chapel which fosters the parish’s strong devotion to the Blessed Sacrament. Various service groups and prayer groups afford the faithful opportunities to grow in their knowledge and service of God and neighbor.
