CDA Spaghetti Luncheon
Join the Catholic Daughters of the Americas for their annual Spaghetti Lunch on Sunday, September 13, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Larose Center. Enjoy your choice of Spaghetti & Meatballs or Spaghetti & Italian Sausage, served with vegetables, bread, and dessert. $15 per plate Takeout only. Archdiocesan Evening of Confessions & Healing Service with Alan Ames
On Wednesday, September 16, 2026, the Sacrament of Reconciliation will be available in every Catholic Church in the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New Orleans from 5-6:30 PM.
Please note that at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, confessions will be available from 5-5:50 PM due to the 6 PM Mass.
Following the 6 PM Mass, Adoration will take place for 30 minutes, followed by a talk given by Alan Ames and a healing service.

Archbishop Checchio to Visit OLPH
We are pleased to welcome the Most Rev. James F. Checchio, Archbishop of New Orleans, to Our Lady of Perpetual Help on Sunday, September 20. Archbishop Checchio will celebrate our 9:00 a.m. Mass, and we invite all parishioners to join us for this special occasion.

Greater New Orleans 36th Annual Eucharistic Rosary Congress
A Eucharistic Rosary Congress is seven days and nights of continuous Eucharistic Adoration in which the Holy Rosary is prayed aloud at the top of every hour, day and night, without interruption. Hosted in a parish or diocese, it is a sustained act of communal prayer before Our Lord in the Blessed Sacrament, offered for the conversion of sinners, the consecration of our nation, and the triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary.
Our Lady of Perpetual Help will be hosting the Rosary Congress on October 6. Adoration will begin following the 9 AM School Mass and continue throughout the night until 8 AM on October 7.

OLPH Latin Class
Join us as parishioner Jolene Tyrolf, a life-long Latin enthusiast, teaches the Latin language through the prayers of the Church, the Vulgate Bible, and the Mass. Free of charge and no previous Latin experience is required.

OCIA 2026-2027
Have you or someone you know ever considered becoming Catholic, or were you baptized Catholic as a child but have not yet received the Sacraments of Confirmation and Eucharist? If so, we would like to offer an opportunity to come together in a small group to learn more about our faith. This program is known as the Order of Christian Initiation for Adults (OCIA). Sessions focus on the teachings and experience of the Church and prepare individuals to celebrate the Sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist during the Easter season. Sessions will begin in October. If you are interested, please call the parish office to be put on the list. We look forward to hearing from you!

Children's Church has begun and will be held on the first Sunday of each month at the 10:30 AM Mass in the Yenni Room.

Food Pantry Reopening
The Food Pantry has officially reopened and is now open on Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Our Food Pantry volunteers prepare and distribute groceries to those in need throughout our community.

Fr. Dussouy Medical Leave
Please keep Fr. Dussouy in your prayers as he is on medical leave through September and scheduled to return in October.
Our Sacramental schedule will continue as normal. Daily Mass will be celebrated at 6:00 p.m., and all weekend Masses and Confessions will continue as usual.
Thank you for praying for Fr. Dussouy during his recovery.

Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, located in Rivertown in Kenner, Louisiana since 1869, is dedicated to proclaiming and living the Gospel of Jesus Christ and the truths of the Roman Catholic Church. The parish offers numerous opportunities for prayer and faith development. Sunday and daily Masses are offered, along with special Masses and devotions to Our Lord, Our Lady and the saints. There is a Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Chapel which fosters the parish’s strong devotion to the Blessed Sacrament. Various service groups and prayer groups afford the faithful opportunities to grow in their knowledge and service of God and neighbor.
